FLIC Votes Launches Six-Figure Bilingual Digital Ad Campaign Hitting Ron DeSantis for His Cruel and Extreme Anti-Immigration Record

Ads Attack DeSantis for Policies that Encouraged Family Separation and Recent Migrant Flight Stunt

Today, the Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC) Votes launched a six-figure bilingual digital ad campaign featuring two ads slamming Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

“Deceived” calls out Governor DeSantis for using immigrant children and families fleeing Maduro’s communist regime as political pawns, lying, luring and shipping them off to Martha’s Vineyard with false promises of work and housing. “Valores” features Norah Lossada, a Venezuelan-American and Floridian, denouncing DeSantis for directing the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) to stop providing temporary care for unaccompanied children who enter the U.S. without their parents, ultimately delaying family reunification. The ads will reach Florida voters across Central and South Florida starting on October 4th.

FLIC Vote’s latest ad campaign against DeSantis is part of the organization’s multi-prong campaign against DeSantis and Republicans in the state, which includes GOTV to turnout Latino voters in the state.

WatchDeceived

Script:

Governor Ron DeSantis is under fire for luring immigrant children and families and relocating them from the Texas border to Martha’s Vineyard.

These families had legally applied for asylum at the border, many of whom had fled the Maduro dictatorship in Venezuela.

Only to be falsely lured with promises of housing and other opportunities if they agreed to take the flights.

None of it was true. It was another DeSantis political stunt that cost Florida taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.

And he’s not done yet. DeSantis has promised to spend $12 million of the taxpayers’ dollars to relocate migrants from the state.

And said he would use “every penny” of the money.

Is that what Florida stands for: wasting taxpayers dollars to use children as political pawns?

Watch “Valores

Script:

Mi nombre es Norah Lossada. Soy venezolana.

In English:

My name is Norah Lossada. I am Venezuelan.

Florida is built on the foundation of immigrants.

Regarding Governor DeSantis’ decision to support and keep children separated from their families once they arrive in this country.

I think it’s a completely incorrect decision.

I wouldn’t vote for DeSantis because he’s not a person that I think represents the values of the state of Florida
