Homan Tries to Gaslight Public Over Disappearances in America, Including U.S Citizen Children – One with Rare Cancer

Recent Polls Show a Majority of Americans Reject Trump’s Dragnet as More Citizens Are Swept Up

Washington, D.C. – The Trump administration has deported two families from Louisiana, including a pregnant mother and three U.S. citizen children—ages 2, 4, and 7. One of the deported children is undergoing treatment for a rare form of metastatic cancer and was deported without medication or access to treating physicians. According to the latest New York Times/Siena College poll, a majority of voters disapprove of Trump’s immigration agenda, and 54 percent believe he has “gone too far”—confirming that a majority of Americans are recoiling from his cruelty and abuse of power.

Border Czar Tom Homan attempted to defend these atrocities today, even as this latest tragedy follows a pattern of American citizens being swept up in the dragnet–including Georgia resident Juan Carlos Lopez-Gomez, New Mexico resident José Hermosillo, and a 10-year-old Texas girl recovering from brain cancer. With Congress considering an additional $200 billion to supercharge this cruelty, the devastation is poised to grow—with no limit to who might be targeted next.

Statement from Beatriz Lopez, Co-Executive Director of the Immigration Hub:

“The cruelty is staggering—and it knows no bounds. We have long known that Trump’s administration is willing to cage children and tear families apart, but this is a new horror: U.S. citizen children, including one undergoing cancer treatment, are now being ripped from their own country. This depravity has little public support – and never will no matter how many times Tom Homan and the administration try to gaslight Americans with political stunts or fictional portrayals of those disappeared.”
