Immigration Hub Responds to Anti-Immigrant Comments Made Today by Trump Advisor Stephen Miller 

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Following a national media call today hosted by the Trump campaign — featuring anti-immigrant rhetoric and statements by Trump advisor Stephen Miller — Tyler Moran, Executive Director of the Immigration Hub, issued the following statement:

“Stephen Miller’s ranting is beyond tone-deaf — and reeks of political desperation. Since the 2018 midterms the public has turned against Trump’s immigration policies and are more supportive of a pro-immigrant vision — like a path to citizenship — than ever before. The campaign is grasping at straws even though it is abundantly clear that the swing voters he needs to win aren’t falling for what Trump and Miller are peddling.

As our latest research shows, Vice President Joe Biden’s vision for immigration reform is not only in stark contrast to Trump’s policies and rhetoric, but one that more voters support. Biden has committed to legislation providing a path to citizenship for undocumented Americans in our communities and creating an immigration system that is aligned with our values. This is what voters want.

The American public is ready to turn the page on Trump’s cruelty and unite the country.”
