Senator Blackburn To Introduce Amendment Aiming to Deport All Undocumented Immigrants in the U.S.
4 APRIL 2025
No longer hiding behind the guise of national security, Senate Republicans are making clear that all immigrants–regardless of status or family ties–will be made targets
Washington, D.C. – As the Senate prepares to consider Trump’s staggering $350 billion request to fund mass disappearances and detainment, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is expected to introduce an amendment laying the groundwork to deport all undocumented immigrants currently in the U.S.
Statement from Beatriz Lopez, Co-Executive Director of the Immigration Hub:
“She’s not even bothering to pretend that her immigration concerns are about so-called ‘gang members.’ Blackburn’s amendment rips away the veneer, sending a clear signal: Republicans would love nothing more than to give the administration the ability to disappear and deport every single undocumented parent and child in the U.S. without due process, regardless of their stories, their decades of contributions, or their fundamental rights as human beings. That’s not enforcement; it’s erasure.”
