Mariah Ferguson
Policy Advocacy Associate
Mariah Ferguson is the Policy Advocacy Associate at the Immigration Hub. In this role, she supports the policy team’s efforts to advance fair, just, and humane federal immigration policies by providing research, policy analysis, and facilitating collaboration with Hub partners.
Before joining the Immigration Hub, Mariah was a Program Associate at Democracy International, where she supported the implementation of USAID programs focused on democracy, rights, and governance, and managed grantees providing humanitarian assistance to forcibly displaced persons in the South Caucasus. Prior to Democracy International, Mariah served as a Business Immigration Consultant at Fragomen for nearly four years, where she supported nonimmigrant visa applicants based in Canada, Mexico, India, and Australia. She has also worked as a reception and placement case manager for refugees at the Ethiopian Community Development Council.
Mariah holds a Master of Science in Global Migration from University College London and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a minor in Spanish language from American University.
