Immigration Hub: Black Lives Matter.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— In solidarity with Black communities, the Immigration Hub issued the following statement in support of nationwide protests against police brutality and against systemic racism and violence towards Black communities:

"We solemnly and wholeheartedly support the historic, bold movements across cities demanding our nation acknowledge and address rampant abuses and systemic racism against Black communities.

"Black lives matter. It is a statement, a cry, and a truth that we must actualize through our own work — not just today, but every day and in our daily lives.

“We further condemn ongoing police violence and disturbing tactics being used across the country as people demand change. This includes using overly-militarized ICE and CBP agencies to engage in policing of civil protests.

“We oppose anti-Blackness, white supremacy, and prejudice in all forms. We are committed to holding ourselves accountable and to working alongside Black leaders to demand justice, combat biases, and dismantle institutional racism and policies.”
